One person — and what that honestly means
Karmic Books is a single-person enterprise. One person chooses the books, answers the email and packs every parcel. That is the whole operation, and it is the reason this is a friends & family network webshop: we can only look after people we really know and their close network, because that is as far as one pair of hands reaches.
So for now we are not able to take unsolicited orders or requests from individuals or businesses. We would rather say that plainly than accept an order we cannot do justice to — a late parcel or an unanswered email would serve you worse than an honest no. Our sincere apologies, and thank you for understanding.
Everything ships from our own shelves
Every book on this site is a brand-new copy out of our own inventory in the Netherlands. We don't deal in second-hand: what lands in your hands is unread, unmarked and fresh from the publisher. We're a small operation — orders are packed by the same person who chose what's on the shelf. If you're looking for something we don't carry, we can usually source it on request.
You can find us elsewhere — but here is best
Karmic Books also sells across European marketplaces, but this storefront is the only place where you buy directly from us. It means fewer intermediaries, better margins for a small shop, and a real person on the other end of your email.
“A bookshop is one of the few places where you can still be surprised by something nobody targeted at you.”
